How well do you know the Bible?

The purpose of these articles and essays is to show you the relevance and importance of studying the Bible. In so doing, when you apply God’s Word in you and your life, you will be better able to teach it to others too. Also, make sure you check out our main book, Into Thy Word!

Is the Bible Important?

Have you ever wondered what the Bible’s influence has been on you, personally, whether you read it daily or not at all? What about others around you? Have you considered the Bible’s relevance in world history?

How to Build Bible Literacy

Knowing the Bible Better

How well do you know the Bible? Most Christians may say “fairly well,” and we pastors will say “very well,” but secretly, we may be in fear that others will find out that we do not know His Word so well after all.

How to Memorize Scripture

Nothing in our Christian life is as important or compares to the value of learning God's Word and then incorporating His precepts into our lives. Thus, memorizing a passage of Scripture is an essential way not only to know His Word, but to know and grow in our Lord and Savior.

The Importance of Bible Study

What does the Bible itself say regarding the importance of Bible study? A lot; but, for this article, we will take a look at two passages, one in the Old Testament, and the other in the New.

Why should we study the Bible?

Do you realize that if you are a Christian, and have read the entire Bible, you are in the minority? Does this scare you? Well, it should! If you study the Bible yourself, you are in an even greater minority that even most pastors do not fall into!

Are you transformed by the Word?

We can master the entire Bible and, even be totally transformed by the Word; but, if nothing comes from it, it is meaningless and nearly worthless.

ATTITUDE The prelude to effective study and LIFE!

Do you call yourself an expert on receivership? You probably say no way! But do you live your life that way. That is having a "me first" identity, always placing the emphases on the "I" and "Me."

Basic Apologetics on the Bible

Why should I care about the Bible?

How is the Bible different from any other book? Look at the evidence… If the Bible claims to be the Word of God it is a special book. This leads to a very personal question...What does it mean to you? · IT CLAIMS TO BE THE WORD OF GOD! · IT IS A BOOK FROM GOD . . . · It has unity ... in preservation... in content... in influence!

What Difference can the Bible Make in My Life?

Whether you have personal questions about love, suffering, guilt, loneliness, success, God, the future, or the meaning of life, the Bible has answers. Consider these analogies. The Bible is a light... a mirror... spiritual food... a shield... a sword... a rock foundation... a counselor!

What are the Answers to Life's Ultimate Issues?

What are the answers to 10 tough questions I deal with in life? What are the ultimate issues we all struggle with? What are the serious issues related to God, you, and the meaning of life?

What does the Bible say about Jesus Christ?

Jesus' life story was predicted and described centuries before His birth. No other person has influenced the history of the world as much as Jesus. Jesus lived in history! Jesus had unusual power! Jesus was more than an ordinary man! Jesus changed the lives of others and He can change yours too!

Why should I go to Church?

There are 5 main reasons why going to church is important.

THREE REASONS TO TRUST THE BIBLE

There are, of course, many more than "three reasons to trust the Bible." Among these are textual unity, textual preservation, historical accuracy, scientific accuracy, prophetic accuracy, and its social and personal impact. But even the above three reasons are enough to show that the claims the Liberals and cults make against the Bible are unfounded!
How to do an Inductive Bible Study

Inductive Bible Study Basics

Inductive Bible Study is a method for learning how to exegete the Bible for all its worth by our best efforts. We do this through learning the tools and skills to help us observe the text, dig out the meaning, and then apply it to our lives.

The Cheat Sheet

The Essentials of Inductive Bible Study. You can keep this guide “tucked” in your Bible for reference and guidance.

THE CHART

Here is the Bible Reading Chart for using the Inductive Bible Study method. Here you can write down and record all of your observations, what your have learned, your questions, and even make a commitment on what you will do with the information from God’s most precious Word!

(Anybody interested in the Cheat Sheet and Chart, PM me and I'll send it to you)

Why we are to Study the Bible

The Book of the Ages

Is the Bible important? Have you ever wondered what the Bible’s influence has been on you, personally, whether you read it daily or not at all? What about others around you? Have you considered the Bible’s relevance in world history?

The Authority of the Bible

It is when we are comfortable and complacent that our lack of willingness clouds us from growing in our Lord. The problem is our neglect, not the Bible!

You can do it!

Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ. Romans 10:17

He said to me,"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. " Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.That is why, for Christ's sake's I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
